This is an exciting opportunity to join the Performing Arts Department within an outstanding Sixth Form College. We are seeking a proactive individual to provide an excellent level of support to both staff and students in the College.

The Post of Bank Theatre Technician
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technician to work within the theatre department of an outstanding Sixth Form College. We are seeking an individual with experience of providing support in the areas of lighting, sound and AV for events run by outside agencies, staff and students. The post holder will also be required to ensure the safe and sensible use of College resources, and to assist in reaching the highest standards possible in all performances and presentations. They can expect to be supported by our theatre manager.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:
* Ability to provide technical support to key stakeholders during productions and events;
* Preference for candidates to have sound desk experience;
* Sound knowledge of health & safety and licensing requirements;
* An ability to take on the roles of Lighting, Sound, AV Operator and Production Assistant.
The successful candidate will be offered work on a casual basis as and when required depending on theatre events. These might take place in either the day or the evening.

The Sixth Form College Farnborough is a sixth form college located in the town of the same name, in Hampshire. Since September 2017, The College has been part of The Prospect Trust, a multi-academy trust. The College had originally been a grammar school founded in 1936, becoming a full sixth form college in 1992. The college is co-educational, with over 3900 students aged 16-19. Since its establishment as a sixth form, the college has undergone extensive redevelopment and modernisation, and as a result can boast of a wide range of high-quality teaching and recreational facilities such as a brand-new purpose-built teaching block opened in 2010 containing teaching facilities for physics, electronics and photography among others. Around a third of the students at the college are on mixed programmes of study combining A levels and vocational courses. The college offers 33 A-level courses, with the largest being in psychology and mathematics. Of the 11 vocational courses, the largest are in criminology and business.
