The Role
You will assist the Public Health Nurses by contributing to the work of the Public Health Agenda, through participation in the Health Improvement process, assessment of health needs and provision of planned care, to individual families or groups within school and wider communities. As registered Nurses will be deployed within Public Health Nursing teams and in terms of service delivery, access a broad range of settings, e.g. client homes, schools/nurseries and other community based facilities. Their scope of accountability encompasses delegated responsibilities, which are allocated by Public Health Nurses.

What we'll need you to bring
1. Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration
2. The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative
3. Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
5. Excellent time management skills
6. Working knowledge of basic information technology
7. Car driver a full, valid UK/EU/EEA licence

It would be great if you also have
8. Working understanding of child protection
9. Evidence of ongoing personal/professional development appropriate to the area of practice
10. Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams

This role will be based in Health Visitors within Motherwell Health Centre
