First year of the role will be working in sales admin to gain understanding of Major Projects, Projects and Maintenance functions. Understanding our CRM, our solutions and our delivery.
Second half of your program will be spent conducting sales and attending sites alongside Key Account Managers and Sales Manager dependent on experience gained.
1. Updating sales systems, CRM, pre contract summary sheet.
2. Produce bid packs for company tenders, Maintaining our Key Account Plans.
3. Collating case study information and data and being the conduit with our marketing team.
4. Liaise with customers to arrange appointments, and review of tenders.
5. Be the planner of organizing information packs for Board reviews from sales team.
6. Review online portals to pursue more sales opportunities for the business.
7. Attend site surveys as and when required to gain understanding of projects and installations/delivery.
Sales Role (dependent on experience gained)
1. Book meetings with customers.
2. Attend site with customers to obtain further information to enable the tender to be able to be put together.
3. Attend a meeting with the tendering engineer to provide information for the tender to be produced.
Overall
1. While working in the sales team, the short to medium term plan is to work towards understanding the sales process from start to finish, from initial meetings with customers through tendering to final site down with client and selling of services.
2. The long term aim is to become part of our team as a Key Account Manager; you will need to be able to opportunity intake, taking the project through the tendering process with a tendering manager and then presenting the final opportunity to the client. You will need to have good communication skills, data analysis and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
