What will you be doing?
Your work will involve helping to maintain BPA's mapping system to keep it up to date and assist with any mapping queries from other departments, as well as supporting with everyday GIS queries. You will also support the processing and administration of third party enquiries, assessing the information received, liaising and communicating with landowners, third parties, technicians and internal staff to ensure any works taking place follow BPA's safe working procedures.
Responsibilities
* Helping maintain the company mapping system (QGIS and online mapping system).
* Providing GIS support to colleagues (both inside and outside of department).
* Reviewing and interpreting maps, aerial imagery and other data.
* Processing and responding to Third Party Enquiries with appropriate information in a quick timeframe, and filed accordingly.
* Arranging of supervision by Lands Technicians, and ensuring costs are claimed back when applicable.
* Ensuring approval documentation (such as RAMS) are in place.
* Management of paperwork, and data input into GIS, for Enquiries.
* Process landowner liaison mailouts (including CIPS notification letters, new landowner packs).
* Update Lands records within the filing systems.
* Process and follow up calls on the Departmental Freephone.
* Processing the fortnightly Aerial Surveillance sightings and reporting.
* Assisting other departments for Lands Department inputs.
Qualifications / Skills
* Have proven administration skills in an office environment.
* Proactive, organised and self-motivated.
* Ability to handle a number of tasks and prioritise effectively.
* Able to communicate calmly, confidently and clearly.
* Computer literate in Microsoft office suite (use of Microsoft Dynamics is desirable).

Salary
£24,000-£27,000 (This is a 12 month fixed term contract)
