Key Responsibilities: Support students with special educational needs in their learning and development within the classroom environment. Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored lessons that accommodate individual learning styles and requirements. Provide one-on-one support to students during lessons, ensuring they remain engaged and focused. Help create an inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes positive behavior and social interaction among students. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding individual achievements and areas for improvement. Collaborate with other staff members, including SEN coordinators, to develop effective strategies for supporting students with additional needs. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in SEN education. Requirements: Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, particularly with SEN students. A relevant qualification such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of young people. An understanding of various learning difficulties and strategies to support these learners effectively.
