About the role
Our new Head of Relationship Fundraising will lead our corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, philanthropy, and special events team to drive and deliver sustainable income and growth by securing new opportunities and driving innovation and growth from existing opportunities.
You will steer the direction and development of an ambitious fundraising strategy supporting increased income for corporates, trusts, philanthropists, and special events.
You will use market knowledge and insight to lead the team in building a prospect pipeline and appealing special events that will stay ahead of the competition and strive to improve fundraising performance.
Key responsibilities:
1. Working with the Deputy Director of Fundraising and Communication to develop and implement strategies and objectives for individual income streams, ensuring growth and sustainability.
2. Leading and line managing the corporate partnerships, trusts, philanthropy, and special events teams, agreeing targets in current and new fundraising arenas are delivered on time and within budget.
3. Play an active role in the overall development of the Fundraising Division.
4. Maintain a climate in which the creation of innovative, sustainable fundraising programmes and opportunities are encouraged in order to substantially increase income in the short and long term.
5. Lead effective internal communication regarding Relationship Fundraising, ensuring that all areas are understood, accurately described, and fully supported throughout the organisation.
6. Regularly advise the Deputy Director of Fundraising and Communication of the team’s performance against all Objectives, Budgets, and KPI’s; providing support, advice, and information when required.
7. Be self-supporting and self-motivating, and have responsibility for attending and chairing meetings, producing contact reports, ensuring compliance with copy approval procedures and administrative duties.
8. Ensure that appropriate recognition is given to relevant partners and supporters.
9. Maintain a strong external profile keeping up to date with developments in the Third Sector.
