The Role
GreenGen is seeking a skilled Plumbing & Heating Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and heating systems in residential and commercial properties in the North Cornwall and Devon. You’ll diagnose and resolve issues efficiently, ensuring all work meets local regulations and high-quality standards. Strong customer service, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential. Responsibilities:
* System Installation & Repair: Install, maintain, and repair plumbing and heating systems in residential and commercial properties.
* Compliance: Ensure all work meets local plumbing codes and industry regulations.
* Customer Communication: Understand customer needs and provide expert recommendations.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
* Scheduled Maintenance: Carry out regular scheduled maintenance tasks on heating and plumbing systems.
* Emergency Response: Respond to and resolve reactive faults and maintenance work.
* Heating System Removal: Safely remove existing heating systems, including combination and system boilers.
* Hot Water Cylinder Installation: Install unvented hot water cylinders in compliance with safety standards.
* Heat Pump Installation: Install Air Source and Ground Source Heat Pump systems efficiently.
* Heating Controls Setup: Install and configure S & Y Plan heating controls for optimized system performance.
* Radiator System Upgrades: Upgrade and install radiator systems in domestic properties.
* Testing & Commissioning: Conduct thorough testing and commissioning of all work to ensure compliance with industry standards.
What we’re looking for:
* NVQ Level 2 Plumbing: NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or equivalent experience in the field.
* Installation Experience: At least 2 years of proven experience installing radiators, cylinders, and pipework.
* Team Communication: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
* Professional Approach: A proactive and professional approach to work.
* Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
* Work Ethic: Be hardworking, committed, and excited about working for an innovative company.
