HSE Coordinator
Based in Cumbria, we are expanding our team on the prestigious PPP partnership.
Our HSE experts take great pride in what they do, acting as the main focal point for all project HSE matters. They provide efficient and effective value-added support to various teams on all HS & E matters, ensuring full compliance with site, company, project, contract, and legal requirements.
The role requires an expert in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) to provide support to the project, aligning with customer and stakeholder requirements while adhering to legislative and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess EHS risks comprehensively and offer authoritative advice to stakeholders in compliance with legislation and site policies.
* Identify and address EHS concerns, advising on suitable measures and controls to safeguard the environment and ensure the secure execution of the Program/Project/OU's operational plan.
* Conduct inspections, observations, and assurance activities to pinpoint EHS performance gaps, determine root causes, and propose corrective actions to enhance overall EHS performance.
* Support Duty Holders in investigating EHS incidents, ensuring implementation of corrective actions, and facilitating knowledge sharing for organizational learning.
* Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of relevant EHS legislation, site protocols, and standards.
* Cultivate expertise in specific EHS hazards and associated controls within the Program/Project/OU.
* Assist EHS Manager and Duty Holders in engagements with internal and external regulators and external organizations.
* Evaluate processes and systems for compliance and suitability.
