Scale: MPS/UPS commensurate with experience
Job Summary: Strood Academy has an exciting opportunity for a talented and creative Teacher of Geography to join our department from January 2025 or earlier if possible.
We are seeking to appoint an individual who can build rapport with our students and engage them in the subject, being a key member of the collaborative and well-established team. You’ll be joining the department at an exciting time as the improvements we are making are gaining momentum. Geography is taught as a discrete subject to all pupils in Years 7-9 as part of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme. In years 10 and 11, pupils who opt for Geography (usually between 100 and 120) follow the Eduqas specification. Results have steadily improved over the last 3 years but there is still scope for continued improvement.
This role is offered on a permanent basis, offering a salary of MPS/UPS dependent on experience. For those seeking added responsibility, please contact Rachel Cribben (Recruitment Coordinator) on rachel.cribben@latrust.org.uk to discuss this further.
