One of our long-standing clients is looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join them on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to join an organization that is growing year on year. Due to a number of new contract wins, our client is looking for like-minded individuals to join their team. With projects across various sectors, the ideal candidate will have exposure to civil engineering work, including setting out and site work supervision.
As the Site Engineer, you will be a key point of contact for any queries related to technical drawings, ensuring site staff are competent, well-trained, and complying with relevant health and safety requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring any contractual requirements are met in a timely fashion under your relevant project control.
The key responsibilities include:
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders within the business
* Prepare drawings as required by customers
* Carry out site visits regularly
* Setting out of site works
* Ensure all toolbox talks are completed
* Liaise with management to ensure progress is highlighted
* Assist with tender preparation when required
* Assist with contract management regarding materials
* Produce RAMS with relevant information from risk assessments
* Monitor staff levels
* Assist the QS to ensure projects are correctly measured & valued
* Ensure site staff are trained correctly
* Resolve any employee issues
The key skills / experience / knowledge required:
* Previous experience with civil engineering
* Previous experience of setting out & site work supervision
* Strong knowledge of the civils industry
* Previous exposure to utilities would be advantageous
* A clear understanding of Contracting Principles
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Have previous experience of working in a team and individually
