The purpose of this role is to support the Benefact Group’s significant technology transformation by managing various strategic initiatives. As part of the Transformation team, but closely aligned with Group Technology, the project manager will ensure seamless integration and effective delivery of complex IT change projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving the company's technology strategy forward and delivering business value. Key responsibilities Managing and leading key strategic projects: In line with corporate strategy, standards and ethos, e.g. Group Change Approach. Projects will be required to meet business needs and deliver agreed business value and benefits. You will be responsible for utilising resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality; Managing Complex IT Change: If assigned, oversee and manage complex IT change projects. Coordinate with IT teams and business stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of changes. Communication and Stakeholder Management: Ensure clear and consistent communication with team members and business stakeholders. This includes regular updates on project progress, transparent reporting, engaging stakeholders early and often, and establishing clear communication channels with an ability to communicate complex technical issues to non technical stakeholders. Coordination of Multiple Teams: Coordinate change initiatives dependent on multiple delivery teams, ensuring alignment, managing dependencies, and integrating changes smoothly. Facilitate regular communication and collaboration with team leads. Be comfortable in leading teams following agile, waterfall or hybrid methodologies. Supplier Management: Work closely with external suppliers to ensure their deliverables meet project requirements and integrate smoothly into the overall project plan. Manage contracts, monitor performance, and maintain strong relationships. Data Migration and Decommission: Plan and execute data migration activities, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption to business operations. Develop migration strategies, coordinate with data owners, and validate success. Operational and Business Readiness: Collaborate with Service Management, Technology Leadership, and Business Stakeholders to ensure the project is usable and supported post-implementation. Jira Management: Utilise Jira for project tracking, issue management, and reporting. Ensure the team effectively uses Jira as a single source of truth for managing tasks and workflows. Project Fundamentals: Plan, budget and capacity manage projects along with identifying, documenting, and managing Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID) to maintain project momentum and avoid delays. Knowledge, skills and experience Demonstrable experience in managing successful complex technology change Good business acumen and Financial Services experience Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, work well with others, ability to motivate and inspire those around you, be proactive and customer focussed; Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills and an ability to influence at all levels within the organisation, including at executive level. Strong planning and delivery skills; Supplier Management – on/nearshore and offshore Confident in using JIRA and Confluence A strong understanding of various Agile and Scrum elements, including Agile planning and Agile project management with Scrum Outstanding organizational skills, especially the ability to prioritise Remain calm and thrive under pressure.
