What does a great Finance Accountant - Financial Reporting do?
This role will be responsible for working with the Director Financial Reporting in the month, quarter, year-end accounting close for the Travelport group. This will require regular interaction with other Controllership team members, other internal finance teams, and the external auditors, along with the Head of Controllership.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for key elements of the monthly, quarterly and year end Group close/consolidation process.
* Review and analysis of critical accounting areas.
* Coordination with various team members in corporate and technical accounting as well as other finance teams, including Treasury, Tax, Financial Planning and Analysis, and Financial Operations to ensure timely and accurate reporting of results.
* Providing support to the wider finance function, in the accounting for any unusual or complex transactions.
* Preparation of documentation for external auditors.
* Supporting corporate project activity such as corporate restructuring, and refinancing transactions, acquisitions, and disposal.
* Preparation of certain UK statutory accounts.
* Preparation of monthly consolidated cashflows.
* Managing team’s intern.
What we look for/who would prosper in this role?
* Chartered Accountant with some PQE.
* Knowledge of US GAAP would also be beneficial but is not a requirement.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Diligent and good attention to detail.

* Reporting into Manager of Financial Reporting.
* Scope for the candidate to take on additional responsibilities to those listed above as the role evolves.

* Interactions with cross teams, mainly Treasury, Tax, Financial Planning and Analysis, and Financial Operations.
