About the Role:
We are looking for a Lecturer in Business and Finance to join us at Bedford College. As a Lecturer you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:
1. To prepare, deliver and assess Business and/or Finance/Accounting related topics on a range of courses and levels.
2. supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential.
3. Managing students’ learning and provide a high quality learning experience.
4. Contributing pro-actively to developments in the Centre in curriculum development and innovative teaching.
5. Participating in marketing and promotion activities to support a range of programmes and learning opportunities.
About you:
6. Relevant degree
7. Certificate in Education/PGCE or equivalent or willingness to achieve
8. GSCE Maths and English (grades A – C) or equivalent
9. Recent experience of teaching and assessing Business/Finance/Accounting courses within an FE setting
10. Relevant experience of working within the Business/Finance sector
11. Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
12. Evidence of understanding how to promote equality and diversity within the job role
13. Evidence of high performance in previous roles/jobs
14. Experience of working constructively to achieve team objectives and deadlines
15. Ability to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and work effectively to deadlines
16. Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writing
17. Responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and for raising any concerns
