A dynamic and supportive secondary school in South Derbyshire is seeking an experienced and confident PE Cover Supervisor to join their team immediately.
This is a full-time role, ideal for someone with a strong background in Physical Education and proven experience as a Cover Supervisor. You will be responsible for delivering pre-set PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, maintaining high standards of classroom behaviour, and ensuring students remain engaged in their learning.
The Role:
* Deliver PE lessons and cover general classes when required
* Supervise whole classes in the absence of the class teacher
* Support the delivery of the PE curriculum at KS3 and KS4 level
* Manage classroom behaviour confidently and effectively
* Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
* Has prior experience working as a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school
* Has a background in PE or sports coaching, and is confident delivering PE lessons
* Is a strong classroom presence with excellent behaviour management skills
* Is reliable, adaptable, and able to hit the ground running
* Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service or is willing to apply for one
