Due to continued growth service engineer is required for a hugely successful OEM of CNC laser cutting machinery.
The business is one of the largest and most established companies in the UK that specialize in the supply, installation, commission, and repair CNC laser and press brake machines. They also have the biggest team of field service engineers across the UK & Ireland, as well as a hotline team of technical support engineers, providing a comprehensive and reliable service to all of their customers.
There’s a huge amount of training and development on offer in this role, including trips to Europe for product training, online E-training and module based courses to further develop skills/knowledge of the product range.

Responsibilities for the service engineer include -
* Carrying out breakdown repairs and routine servicing of the machinery
Fault finding on machinery to identify the fault, and carry out repairs / replacement parts as necessary
* Installing and commissioning of new machinery at customer sites
* Completing all the relevant service and maintenance job sheets electronically
* Developing customer relationships and providing a high level of customer care on site
* Provide technical and troubleshooting support to the customer as required
* Travel from home to site covering your own region, but must be prepared to work within the UK and Ireland when required
The team includes a diverse range of multi skilled breakdown engineers all in strategic areas of the country, to provide full and comprehensive support.
Whilst this position is regional in the South East area, service engineers must be prepared to travel further afield to support the wider team when needed.
We would love to hear from you've previously worked in any of the following roles -
- Maintenance Engineer, Service Technician, Service Engineer, Apprentice Maintenance Fitter,
- Apprentice trained in mechanical, and hold an NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering
- Good knowledge of fault finding, and mechanical repairs to production machinery
- Flexibility towards overnight stays, and travel to Europe during probation to complete OEM training
- Clean driving license
