SALES DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – EUROPE POLYURETHANE SALES
Now Hiring: Europe Sales Development Manager – Polyurethane
One of my exclusive clients is seeking a Sales Development Manager to drive new business and manage key relationships in the polyurethane industry.
Salary: Up to £80,000 (DOE) + 15% bonus
Location: Remote (Ideal candidate based in Belgium or the UK, but open to candidates across Europe)
Experience: 5+ years in sales/business development, with polyurethane expertise.
MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:
To develop new business through effective penetration, technical promotion, and service to new and existing customers. The role supports the achievement of revenue targets and manages relationships with new and existing suppliers in the Urethane Intermediates business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Generate new business through research and development of assigned customers, prospective customers, applications, and territories.
2. Develop a deeper understanding of assigned customers’ business needs to identify development opportunities.
3. Attend scheduled sales/operating meetings to discuss new sales opportunities, financial sales results, and future sales objectives.
4. Stay abreast of market trends, developments, and competitive activities to ensure the business remains progressive.
5. Manage assigned customers’ accounts receivables, avoiding bad debts by working with the finance department.
6. Maintain and develop new and existing relationships with suppliers of Urethane Intermediates.
7. Manage the profit & loss of assigned products, submit budgets, and perform to agreed annual budgets.
8. Provide live feedback to the team to ensure awareness of all business opportunities and risks.
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
1. 5-7 years’ experience in sales/business development/account management.
2. 5-7 years’ experience in the polyurethane industry.
3. BS or BA degree in business or a technical field required; a technical degree may be beneficial.
4. Excellent team interaction and leadership skills.
5. Outstanding oral and written communication skills, both internal and external.
6. Strong interactive and interpersonal skills.
7. Exceptional negotiation skills and organisational partnering and leadership skills.
8. Self-motivated, focused, confident, and results-driven with a positive, enthusiastic demeanour.
9. Ability to understand, coordinate, and participate in problem resolution with internal and external partners and customers.
10. Capable of managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing priorities.
11. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
