Parts Advisor Location: Southampton Salary: Market Leading Package DOE A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Parts Advisor to join a leading automotive dealership in Southampton, this role is key in ensuring customer satisfaction and the smooth operation of the parts department. Key Responsibilities: Accurately Identify Customer Parts Requirements Stay up-to-date with new or updated parts by reviewing bulletins, lists, and catalogues. Be aware of seasonal demand and any parts required for recalls or special offers. Liaise with the Parts Manager to monitor lost sales for inventory control. Maintain Parts Stock and Records Ensure all stock is securely stored and kept in good condition. Manage stock control and prevent unauthorised removal of parts. Check incoming deliveries, report discrepancies, and ensure stock is stored in the correct locations. Assist the Parts Manager with stocktaking and inventory management. Efficiently Process Parts Orders Complete all paperwork, documentation, and parts requisitions accurately. Ensure credit sales transactions are approved and cash/cheque payments are stored securely. Place special orders when required, balancing cost and delivery speed according to company guidelines. Source additional parts as needed and use the Electronic Parts Catalogue to find part numbers. Ensure High Levels of Customer Satisfaction Identify parts accurately to meet customer needs. Answer customer queries about warranties clearly and concisely. Provide a prompt and courteous service to all customers, developing strong relationships by exceeding expectations. Adhere to Company Policies and Industry Guidelines Maintain a clean and tidy department. Follow health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with environmental guidelines for recycling and disposal. What We're Looking For: Strong knowledge of automotive parts and systems. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to provide exceptional customer service and build relationships. Experience using Electronic Parts Catalogues and other stock control systems. Team player with a proactive approach and strong communication skills.
