Job title: Project Security Controller
Location: Crawley (hybrid with 3 days in the office)

Key responsibilities:
* Providing the authoritative guidance to project teams on Security Grading Guides (SGGs), Security Aspects Letters (SALs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
* Work with the project team to identify any potential Business Critical Information Assets (BCIA).
* Ensure security risks register is created and maintained and coordinate these risks on behalf of the project.
* Creation and maintenance of Project Security Management Plans.
* Act as the point of contact within the project and liaison between the Local Security Contact (LSC) and Corporate Security Office (CSO).
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience working in the defence sector (military) or for a government agency, in a role where you’ve created and maintained project security management plans.
* An aptitude for learning is key, as detailed training will be provided.
Security Clearance statement:
Due to the nature of the work that we do at Thales, many of our roles are subject to security restrictions. This role requires you to be a UK National and achieve Security Clearance (SC) without any caveats. It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment. If approved by the MOD, a dual national from a Non-ITAR country may be considered.
To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
In line with Thales' Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years. Some vacancies may require full Security Clearance which can require further evidence to be provided.
