Interim Operations Manager - Electrical Installations
Rate: £500p/d - £550p/d
3-6-month contract - outside IR35 (Limited Co. / CIS)
Location: Derby - East Midlands

Our Client:
Our client is a leading UK Engineering, projects, and installations company, managing large EPC projects and contracts for major blue-chip FMCG manufacturers UK wide. They are recruiting for an experienced Electrical bias Operations Manager for an initial 6-month contract, with the likelihood of extension.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Report to the Group Operations Director, leading the development of projects & contracts from initial design review through to completion.
2. Oversee P&L, ensuring financial targets are met and flagging up any issues.
3. Support Contracts Managers from costing, design review, tender through to delivery.
4. Ensure Site Managers and supervisors are fully supported through installations on customer sites.
5. Ensure projects are well planned and all supply chains, materials, and supplies are in order.
6. Act as the key point of contact, liaising with key clients throughout the full project lifecycle.
7. Manage major key clients (value ranging - £200k-£1m), handling 6-12 projects at any one time.
8. Update costs and programmes, checking timesheets.
9. Ensure all site H&S & electrical safety aspects are adhered to, including site RAMs / Permits.
Required Qualifications:
1. Apprentice trained ideally to NVQ L3/HNC in Electrical Engineering minimum.
2. AMP / AM2 Project Management / 2391 Test & Inspection / SMSTS certifications.
3. Experience in designing electrical systems and components that meet industry standards and specifications in food/beverage/pharma/automotive manufacturing.
4. Strong communication, leadership, organizational skills, and a flexible mindset.
5. Excellent commercial acumen and technical expertise.
Additional Information:
Travel to customer sites UK wide when required. Flexible to work in the office/on-site as needed.
