Senior Service Engineer

In this role, you'll provide top-notch technical support, carry out preventive maintenance, and repair a range of analytical laboratory instruments. Position Details
* Location: Hawarden, with possible travel to other ALS sites in the UK and Europe.
* Work Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
* Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs on laboratory equipment.
* Respond promptly and professionally to service requests.
* Collaborate with the Analytical Service Engineering Team to ensure high-quality support to laboratories.
* Manage spare parts inventory efficiently.
Required Qualifications and Skills
* An HND or higher in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related Scientific Field.
* Candidates without formal qualifications but with significant Field Service Engineering experience (especially with instrument vendors) will also be considered.
* Experience with specific vendors like Agilent, Thermo, Waters, Varian, Dionex, and Skalar, and proficiency in handling instruments such as GC/FID/MS, LC/MS-MS, ICP/MS/OES, and other analytical tools.
* Previous experience as a Service Engineer, Test Engineer, or in a Technical Support role.
* Experience in the Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical Laboratory field is advantageous.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and maintain quality output.
* Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to interact across various levels.
* Competence in IT and instrument vendor software is beneficial.
* Willingness to travel within the UK for business purposes.
* An eagerness to learn new skills and participate in training programs.
