About Us:
We are seeking a Project Manager / Employers Agent with the RICS or CIOB accreditation to join our diverse Midlands team, based in our central Birmingham offices. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of large-scale residential, affordable housing and build to rent projects across the region.
The Role:
As a Project Manager, you will take on an autonomous role, reporting directly to the Executive Director, working across multiple client accounts and projects in the Midlands. You will have the chance to manage an exciting range of projects, including large-scale, high-rise residential developments in city centres, affordable housing schemes for Local Authorities and Private clients, as well as projects spanning the entire built environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage large-scale projects and affordable housing schemes across the Midlands, ensuring the achievement of client objectives.
Provide proactive risk management, programme control, and contractual advice.
Prepare and present tender documentation for consultant and contractor appointments.
Administer tender processes and manage the procurement of consultants and contractors.
Act as Employers Agent on behalf of our clients, offering expert advice on contractors, procurement routes, cost, and programme solutions.
Administer and manage cost and variation procedures as applicable under relevant appointments or contracts.
Attend and/or chair project meetings, ensuring timely decision-making and issue resolution.
Prepare detailed financial and progress reports for clients, ensuring their data requirements are met.
Lead value engineering and standardisation processes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Develop and manage delivery programmes in Microsoft Project, ensuring that key milestones and objectives are achieved.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
RICS or CIOB accreditation (or working towards).
Proven experience in managing large-scale and/or affordable housing projects.
Strong understanding of contract administration and procurement processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Project and other project management software.
Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
