Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for experienced and motivated Solution Architect with a strong understanding of the Financial Services sector. The candidate should possess a balance of strong technical, business, communication, and interpersonal skills.
You will work with some of the ASEAN's largest Banks and FSI customers in collaboration with AWS Sales teams to create a coherent technical strategy founded in AWS cloud architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate their adoption of AWS services.
Key Job Responsibilities
1. Build trusted relationships with key technical C-suite decision makers - especially CIOs, Chief Data Officers, CISOs, and Enterprise architects; understand the customer’s technology challenges; dive deep and understand stated and unstated needs.
2. Working backwards from the customer and business needs, build a holistic technology vision for IT/Digital Transformation, strategy, and practical transformation plan – addressing technology challenges but also increasing business impact, innovation, and agility.
3. Challenge the technical status quo, inspire customers to a bolder technical vision, and increase the velocity of shift to digital/cloud; work with customers, AWS leadership, and all key stakeholders to create buy-in and joint ownership of transformation strategy and execution plan.
4. Provide leadership to orchestrate all AWS technical resources (Solution Architects, Service lines, Service teams) to support customer success.
5. Build a strategic ecosystem of AWS consulting, integration, delivery, and ISV partners to support the delivery of customer’s digital transformation outcomes, increase satisfaction, and build a sustainable platform for sales growth.
6. Advocacy - Represent the AWS technology strategy for Banking/FSI internally and externally, at industry events, media, etc.
7. Act as a CIO in-residence, serving as a technology & strategy advisor for key AWS enterprise customers, based in our AWS Singapore office but with remit across the ASEAN region.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Technical degree or extensive technical experience required.
* Significant design/implementation/consulting experience with Cloud or distributed applications.
* Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
* Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
* Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
* Deep understanding and implementation of database, data lakes, and analytics. Experience with predictive analytics, semi- and unstructured data.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Computer Science, Engineering or Math background highly desired.
* Strong understanding of AWS and/or technology as a service (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS) preferred.
* Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations and virtual teams.
* Experience in building machine learning solutions on public cloud platforms.
* Talent for influencing and building mindshare convincingly with any audience; confident and experienced in public speaking to large audiences.
* Ability to handle complex relationships and work in a team environment is a key requirement.
* Proficiency with programming languages such as Python, Java, and data querying tools.
