Metastatic Urology Oncology Nurse Specialist

Job overview
Due to the expansion of the team, we have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and compassionate cancer nurse to work in caring for patients with a diagnosis of a metastatic urological malignancy. You will lead and work with other inspiring cancer nurses caring for patients in our state of the art, Dyson Cancer Centre. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a difference in delivering personalised care and support in a therapeutic, nurturing and holistic environment.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be part of the urology multi-disciplinary team. They will be responsible for providing care and support for patients with a diagnosis of a metastatic urological malignancy and their families. They will work both autonomously and within a wider team including Oncologists, the existing Urology CNS team, clinical trials teams, palliative and end of life care teams and other members of the wider MDT. The post will include inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, nurse led face to face and telephone clinics. The post holder will act as a specialist resource throughout the Trust by providing expert advice, guidance, teaching and training.
