We are seeking a passionate HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) to support our Year 6 pupils in achieving their age-related expectations in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics. In addition to this crucial academic support role, you will also be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging PE lessons across Key Stage 2 during teachers' PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) time.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide targeted support for Year 6 pupils working towards achieving Age Related Expectations in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics
* Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging, and challenging PE lessons across Key Stage 2 (pm)
* Assist, organise, and lead extra-curricular sports activities to support the school's drive for increased participation and physical activity
* Cover classes to provide subject release time for teaching staff across the school
Requirements
* Relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
* Excellent subject knowledge and ability to teach PE effectively across the primary age range
* Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
