Position: Graduate Finance Assistant
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Main Duties
This role is predominately transactional sales ledger based including control checks and reconciliations, ensuring that information is accurate and current.
1. Integrate daily sales data into accounting system
2. Integrate remittance and cash data into accounting system
3. Investigate failed integrations
4. Process any manual sales invoices, returns and cash as part of account reconciliation
5. Query resolution engaging with internal and external stakeholders
6. Produce and distribute weekly debtor report
7. Maintain relationships with key clients
8. Input bank transactions, posting bank transactions and manage cash balances, being the business contact with the bank for day-to-day queries.
9. Assist with daily bank reconciliations
10. Assist with month end sales ledger reconciliation process
11. Assist with month end balance sheet reconciliations pack preparation
12. Assist with month end intercompany reconciliations
13. Assist with other month end procedures and reconciliations, adhering to strict deadlines
14. Assist with weekly reporting to strict deadlines
15. Assist with ad hoc year end work including audit queries
16. Review and support with the business stationery order
17. Provide cover and support within wider finance team
18. Ad-hoc work as assigned
Person Specification
This role would suit a recent graduate looking for their first step into finance.
1. Ability to prioritise workloads and achieve tight deadlines working in a high pressure environment
2. Excellent IT literacy, ideally with strong excel skills
3. Excellent attention to detail
4. Able to communicate with finance and non-finance colleagues
5. Ability to be flexible within the role
6. Manage high volumes of transactions
7. Understanding of accounting principles (desirable)
8. Ascertain a full understanding of webuyanycar.com, including full organisation awareness
9. To be professional and polite at all times and smart in appearance when representing the company
10. To adhere to and maintain confidentiality at all times
11. To undertake any other duties as may be reasonably requested
