You will work alongside a Senior Identity and Access Engineer, three Endpoint and collaboration engineers and a Tech Lead, a Principal Engineer and our dedicated Agile Delivery Lead and Business Analyst.
As a team, we celebrate success, educate, and support one another. We host regular strategy days, attend conferences and seminars, and organise after work activities to build our network and our team bond.
What you'll be doing
You will be a key member in our team, and you'll report directly to the Endpoint & Collaboration Tech Lead.
As our Endpoint Security Engineer, you will take ownership and drive the continuous improvement of our endpoint patching and vulnerability management processes. Using your strong understanding of operating fundamentals, you will work logically, based on risk and severity, to remediate outstanding vulnerabilities by deploying patches and system file fixes. You will then be expected to maintain the images used in our Operating System Deployment processes, ensuring they also have the latest patches and fixes integrated into them. There will be a requirement to work closely with other teams within the department to discuss any changes that may need testing before you deploy them.
In addition to this, you will spend time working with the team to research and implement security configurations for endpoints such as device compliance, health attestation, and CIS benchmarking policies. You will have a keen eye for automation, aiming to reduce or remove any manual interactions in the patching processes where possible, and also ensuring that as many 3rd party applications are patched automatically using our toolset.
Working closely with the Endpoint & Collaboration Tech Lead, together you will create dashboards and reports to demonstrate net reductions in any outstanding and newly found vulnerabilities and provide insights into the risk management process to show where mitigations are in place.
Our Agile methodologies ensure a dynamic work environment with regular ceremonies, feedback sessions, and roadmap reviews. Every opinion is valued, taken on board, and used to form our strategic roadmap.
