Technology drives what we do. Plain and simple. As we’re going through a huge change as a business, we need a solid team with us who are committed to driving our systems forward.
As a Senior DevOps Engineer you’ll play a key part in this. Your focus will be on migrating our on-premise platforms to the cloud, automating pipelines and keeping sensitive data secure. You’ll do this using different technologies:
1. Infrastructure-as-code
2. Azure DevOps (on-premises and cloud), CI/CD pipelines, automated builds/releases
3. Docker containers, Kubernetes, microservices, SonarQube, Helm charts
4. PowerShell scripts
5. SQL Server database, Windows & Linux servers
6. Microsoft .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, C#
In addition, we’re looking for you to be:
7. Able to speak, read and write English at a level that enables you to complete your role, for example, to understand instructions and communicate effectively with stakeholders and/or other team members
8. Experienced in effectively working in a collaborative manner in a large scale, fast paced environment within a multifunctional technical team
As a Senior, you’ll be leading the team in solution design, mentoring junior team members and engaging in stakeholder management with Lead Developers and Architects. You’ll also use your expertise and experience to help us continually improve our processes and working practices, actively enabling the department to become as efficient and effective as it can be.
You’ll be doing all this from our Leicestershire Head Office on a hybrid basis. A fast-paced, encouraging and supportive environment in which everyone brings an energy and a commitment to delivering for our customers and their own careers. Bring your energy. Play to your strengths. Make things bigger and better than before. Let’s Take It On.
We’re always happy to have candid chats about what you need, and where you need to be in order to be at your best. So, flexible working is fine by us.
So if you’re an expert in this field, have strong communication skills and considerable DevOps knowledge, work with initiative and can build great working relationships within the business, this is the place for you – and your career.
