Harris Academy Bermondsey seeks a highly skilled DT Technician to join our team. As an integral part of our faculty, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of design and art education.

Main Responsibilities:
* Assist teaching staff in preparing classrooms for practical exercises, running trials, demonstrations, and supporting students with learning activities as needed.
* Maintain equipment and materials to the specification of teacher requisitions, creating special equipment or modifying existing tools as necessary from instructions supplied by teaching staff.
* Advise students on the safe use of tools and equipment, as well as the correct methods for carrying out learning activities, in conjunction with teaching staff.
* Support the preparation of materials for 3D and 2D projects, including stretch canvas and screen preparation for printing.
* Participate in practical lessons and after-hours activities as requested.
Qualifications & Experience:
* A Level qualifications or equivalent are desired.
* Basic knowledge of Health and Safety regulations is essential.
* Experience working with a range of art and/or design technology equipment and resources is required.
* Familiarity with working as a technician in a school or educational establishment, undertaking various practical tasks, is preferred.
