Job Overview
My client is seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager to bolster the Technical Division of the company, covering an expanding retail and middle ground business with a wide range of products. This role offers growth, personal development and the ability to work on our own initiative.
Responsibilities
1. Support in the management and development of the Quality Management Systems, procedures and policies
2. Responsible for maintaining the site internal audit system including resolution of corrective actions
3. Develop and maintain hygiene procedures
4. HACCP Team leader
5. Provide Technical expertise and support before, during and after all external audits.
6. Assist in staff training
7. Conduct Quality KPI and Quality Review meetings
8. Identify opportunities for improvement
9. Coordinating, interpreting and communicating laboratory results to the site management team
10. Support the site in maintaining BRC accreditation
Qualifications
1. Degree in Food Science / Manufacturing or equivalent preferred
2. Experience working in a technical / quality role within a food related industry
3. Intermediate Food Hygiene
4. Knowledge of BRC standards and food safety
5. Computer literate and advanced HACCP
6. Fully conversant with BRC
Knowledge
1. Experience in Quality System Auditing and Management
2. Ability to develop and lead a diverse team
3. Ability to work with the site team
4. Manufacturing practice knowledge
5. Attention to detail & creative problem solving
6. Flexibility on hours
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £50,000.00 per year
