Project Architect\nAward-Winning RIBA Chartered Practice - North Leeds (LS17)\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Project Architect to join our prestigious, award-winning RIBA Chartered architectural practice, based in a picturesque semi-rural location on the outskirts of North Leeds. Our medium-sized, well-established practice is known for its exceptional design quality across a diverse range of high-end residential projects, including bespoke contemporary new builds, luxury private homes, and sophisticated renovations and restorations.\n\nAbout the Role\nAs a Project Architect, you will play a pivotal role in leading the delivery of a variety of exciting and prestigious residential projects throughout Yorkshire and the North East of England. This includes working on bespoke, contemporary designs with a focus on high-value properties, some of which are valued in the millions.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex projects, overseeing all stages of design, and maintaining the highest standards of technical quality and client satisfaction.\n\nYou will be responsible for managing your own projects, guiding them through all RIBA work stages, and collaborating closely with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure seamless project delivery. You will also have the opportunity to mentor and support junior staff, helping to nurture their growth while advancing your own career within a forward-thinking, creative practice.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead and manage a variety of residential projects from stage 2 onward, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest design and technical standards.\n\nTake ownership of projects from concept design through to project completion, ensuring all stages are managed effectively.\n\nDevelop and present design proposals to clients, providing strategic advice and ensuring design intent is maintained throughout the process.\n\nCoordinate and collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and external consultants to achieve successful project outcomes.\n\nOversee the preparation of detailed technical drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations and all relevant standards.\n\nProvide leadership and guidance to junior team members, helping them to develop their skills and grow within the practice.\n\nManage project budgets and resources, ensuring efficient and cost-effective project delivery.\n\nSkills & Experience\n\nA fully qualified Architect (RIBA/ARB registered) with a minimum of 3-5 years experience within a practice environment.\n\nProven experience managing high-end residential projects, including new builds, extensions, and complex renovations.\n\nIn-depth knowledge of UK Building Regulations, construction detailing, and project delivery processes.\n\nStrong technical skills, with the ability to create and manage high-quality technical drawings and specifications.\n\nProficiency in AutoCAD (essential); experience with SketchUp is highly desirable.\n\nExcellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors.\n\nStrong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.\n\nA proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving, with a keen eye for detail and quality.\n\nExperience in running a project from inception to completion, with a focus on delivering projects within budget and on time.\n\nSalary & Benefits\n\nCompetitive salary, negotiable based on experience, in the range of £37,500 to £42,500\n\nComprehensive benefits package, including workplace pension, 25 days annual leave, flexible working hours, and the option to work from home one day per week.\n\nOpportunity for professional development and career progression within a growing, creative practice.\n\nFor more information or to apply, please contact James Jackson or click Apply and follow the application instructions
