This role will make a significant contribution to the continuing pursuit of excellence in our team, supporting all partners to work together to safeguard Children and promote their welfare. As part of a small team, including working with a similar role for adults, you will be instrumental in ensuring that the partnership is effective, efficient and that it is meeting contemporary practice and strategic development needs. The team is located in the Adults directorate and works directly with Children’s social care services and with all partners providing services to Slough Residents. You’ll be leading on statutory reviews, including Safeguarding Practice Reviews for children and Adults, providing partners with expert safeguarding support to ensure delivery and learning with impact. Public sector reforms, national concern about adolescent risk and keeping a focus on all forms of abuse are key priority areas in our strategic plan by empowering the workforce and our local community. Annual increments, where applicable, are usually payable on 1st April each year, subject to six months service in the post, until the maximum spinal column point of the level has been reached. The payment of annual increments is not automatic and is subject to satisfactory performance as assessed by your Director.
