NRASWA Inspector

We are seeking a dedicated NRASWA Inspector to join our team. This role is primarily site-based, with approximately 25% of your time spent in the office. As an NRASWA Inspector, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and reporting on highway works to ensure compliance with the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRASWA) regulations and standards.
What is a NRASWA Inspector?
A NRASWA Inspector is responsible for overseeing and inspecting street and road works to ensure that they comply with the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991. This includes ensuring that all works are carried out with the correct signage, lighting, and guarding, and that the reinstatements of roads and pavements are done to specified standards. The role is vital for maintaining road safety and infrastructure integrity.
Day-to-day of the role:
1. Monitor and report on works on the highway by carrying out inspections under NRASWA, including inspection of works, reinstatements, and ironwork.
2. Ensure that all works promoters comply with signing, lighting, and guarding requirements as required by Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual and “Safety at Street Works and Road Works: a code of Practice”.
