The Radiotherapy Department in the North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre, Glan Clwyd Hospital is looking to appoint to the post of Radiotherapy Clerical Assistant. (Full time hours per week).
The post holder will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the radiotherapy department. Duties will involve typing annotations relating to patients radiotherapy treatment onto Canisc, Welsh Clinical Portal and Sharepoint and for registering patients onto the Radiotherapy Oncology Information system (ARIA). The role will involve radiotherapy reception cover when required.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a health care setting within a hospital environment. Experience of oncology/cancer pathways would be an advantage. Knowledge of WPAS, Canisc, WCP, iFit and NEPTS online hospital transport system is desirable, however training can be given.
Proficient IT skills (including experience of Microsoft office) are also required as the post holder will also be undertaking a variety of administrative duties to support the radiotherapy patient pathway.

Main duties of the job
·The Radiotherapy Clerical Assistant will provide a comprehensive administrative support to the radiotherapy department.
·Responsible for the accurate and timely administration for annotations relating to patients radiotherapy treatment onto Canisc and Sharepoint and for registering onto the Radiotherapy Oncology Information system (ARIA).
·Effectively analysing workload for radiotherapy administration office, including covering the Radiotherapy Reception, when required.
·Responsible for the retrieval and collection of patients notes for radiotherapy appointments.
·Responsible for maintaining a high quality of service to patients, carers and other visitors.
·Ensure adherence to all BCUHB/ department policies and procedures.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
