GP Educators
Generalist Clinical Mentor (GCM) for ScotGEM
(£115,217 to £128,569 pro rata)
Do you have what it takes to inspire the next generation of doctors?
Dumfries and Galloway is proud to be hosting graduate entry medicine students (ScotGEM) in collaboration with the Universities of St Andrews and Dundee.
Due to the expansion in student numbers, enthusiastic GPs are being sought by NHS Dumfries and Galloway to become GCMs for the 3rd Year of the course. These are 1 session per week posts where you will support and facilitate the learning of a group of approximately 6 students who are spending their 3rd year based in practices across Dumfries and Galloway.
Initially this post would be for a 1 year fixed term to allow for expansion to cover increased student numbers. It would be an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their educational practice.
You will be an experienced GP keen to develop further as an educator and mentor. You will join a vibrant and supportive ScotGEM team based in Dumfries and Galloway and across Scotland.
Applications are welcomed from Dumfries and Galloway and beyond, with a variety of GP and extended role opportunities available for those new to the region.
