Band 5 Staff Nurse (Ear, Nose & Throat OPD)
An opportunity has arisen for you to join our dynamic, patient-focused and friendly Ear, Nose and Throat Outpatient Department. We offer a variety of treatments and outpatient procedures including caring for patients within Plastic Surgery.
Our nursing team supports clinics across sites, with the majority of activity taking place at Townlands Hospital in Henley-on-Thames.
Main duties of the job
New starters are provided with a period of induction, theoretical and in-house based learning opportunities, and have the support from a designated preceptor in practice. We work closely with the practice education team.
If you have any ENT, Plastic or Preoperative assessment experience, this would be an advantage but not essential, as training would be given.
We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic nurse, committed to delivering excellent patient care within a friendly and supportive team.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post-holder is responsible for undertaking and recording comprehensive nursing assessment and planning, delivering and evaluating high standards of evidenced-based nursing care to a diverse group of patients.
Deliver care without direct supervision and be accountable for the care delivered and any omissions of care.
Teach and supervise more junior staff, students and the non-registered nursing workforce.
Be accountable for care or any omissions of care that you delegate to others.
Act as a role model, delivering care with empathy and compassion as part of a multidisciplinary team.

* Registered Nurse – part 1
* Current NMC registration
* Evidence of recent continuous professional development
Experience
* Experience (through placement or employment) of working in an acute clinical environment
* Experience in speciality may be an advantage
