In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for growing sales across fixed-price electricity and gas, alongside Metering and Net Zero Solutions by building strong relationships with our network of Energy Consultants. What you’ll be doing This role demands a strategic leader with a proven background in sales management and a strong understanding of the energy sector. You’ll be responsible for coaching and developing a high-performing sales team, focused on delivering high-value renewals and securing new business opportunities across the Mid-Market segment. Key responsibilities include: Driving performance to meet and exceed ambitious sales targets. Managing key relationships with external Energy Consultants, ensuring EDF remains a preferred supplier. Championing best practices to maximise commercial outcomes, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. Influencing and disrupting traditional Energy Consultant thinking to position EDF’s solutions effectively within their portfolios. Leading the team through significant transformation, including the adoption of a new CRM system — embedding the right behaviours, maintaining data integrity, and producing key performance reports for senior leadership. Representing EDF at industry events and client meetings, enhancing our presence and reputation in the market. The Mid-Market portfolio is a blend of direct and intermediated business, predominantly made up of fixed-price offerings with a growing share of flexible solutions. Collaboration with Energy Consultants will be critical to drive the uptake of innovative Metering and Net Zero products. With over 80% of the UK business energy supply market operated via intermediaries, maintaining exceptional partnerships is key to EDF’s continued success in this space. Who you are We’re seeking a highly motivated and proven B2B sales leader to drive success within our Mid-Market Sales team. You’ll have strong leadership skills, a passion for results, and the ability to coach and inspire your team to exceed ambitious targets. Key Responsibilities: Sales & Performance: Develop and deliver action plans to hit gross margin and volume targets. Analyse performance metrics and take full ownership for achieving results. CRM & Reporting: Lead adoption of our new CRM system, ensuring accurate data management and generating insightful reports for senior leadership. Team Leadership: Coach and develop Senior Account Executives through structured programmes, setting clear goals and creating a high-performance, collaborative culture. Market & Strategy: Stay ahead of industry trends and regulatory changes, translating insights into actionable sales strategies alongside Marketing and Strategy teams. Customer Excellence: Use feedback to drive initiatives that improve the customer journey, boosting satisfaction and loyalty. Stakeholder Management: Build strong internal and external relationships, influencing key partners and presenting to Executive-level stakeholders. Operational Excellence: Uphold high standards in data integrity, governance, and reporting, ensuring operational consistency across systems.
