The postholder is also required to:
* Act as an advocate for community energy
* Work with the wider Sharenergy team
* Attend regular Big Solar Co-op and wider Sharenergy Team meetings.
Other tasks may be set as required as the co-operative develops. We are a small start-up organisation – as such we need and value flexibility, and in turn are able to offer flexible working.

* The ability to understand legal agreements (leases and contracts) and be directly involved in negotiations
* Excellent organisational skills
* An ability to communicate with clients across the sectors
* Native familiarity with digital tools
* Understanding of financial models and analysis
* A warm and empathic approach to clients and co-workers
Experience
At least 5 years in a project delivery role, preferably within the renewable energy or closely related sectors.

* A good understanding of solar energy technologies and business
* An understanding of and commitment to the co-operative and community energy movements
The Sharenergy team have a strong personal commitment to fighting climate change and to co-operatives, and this role will be best delivered by somebody who shares this ethos.
The role is nominally full-time (37.5 hours per week) although we are happy to accept applications from candidates wishing to work somewhat fewer hours. Hours of working are flexible. This work sometimes involves unpredictable requirements to respond to time-critical issues. The role can be based at the Sharenergy office or based remotely, by mutual agreement. Some site visits are required as is occasional evening or weekend working.
This is a new role within Sharenergy. While considerable support is available from within the Operations, Finance and Development teams the Project Lead will need to be a creative problem-solver and innovator.
