Role overview
We’re looking for a proactive and experienced IT professional to join our fast-growing team!
This is an individual contributor role where you will be the sole IT person responsible for maintaining and supporting all IT systems across the company. If you thrive in a fast-paced startup/scale-up environment, enjoy wearing multiple hats and have a passion for problem-solving, this role is for you!
You’ll provide hands-on 1st and 2nd line support, ensuring seamless IT operations while delivering an outstanding experience for our employees.
Key responsibilities
* IT Support & Troubleshooting: Provide hands-on 1st and 2nd line support to employees across various technical issues (hardware, software, networks, and cloud services).
* Onboarding & Offboarding: Set up new employees with laptops, accounts, and access permissions; manage deprovisioning for leavers.
* Device & Asset Management: Maintain IT assets, ensuring accurate inventory tracking and lifecycle management.
* Google Workspace & Apple Ecosystem: Support users across Google for Business, Apple devices and MDM solutions (e.g. Jamf).
* MDM & Security: Administer Jamf, MDM and security tools to ensure compliance with company policies.
* Process and Policy Improvement: Identify areas for automation and efficiency improvements in IT operations. Revise, create and modify policies and procedures documentation to cover mission critical processes.
* User Training & Communication: Adapt communication style to effectively support both technical and non-technical users.
Candidate specifications
Essential:
* Proven experience in an IT Support role in a startup or scale-up environment.
* Hands-on experience with 1st and 2nd line support. Experience supporting Google Workspace (Google for Business), Apple devices, and MDM tools (Jamf, etc.).
* Strong understanding of IT asset management, onboarding and offboarding processes.
* Experience with AI-powered tools and technologies, with a focus on improving efficiency and decision-making.
* Ability to work autonomously, prioritise tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences (technical & non-technical users).
* Experience writing and adjusting IT policies.
* Knowledge of IT security best practices.
