We are looking for an enthusiastic and pastorally sensitive Christian with experience of working with young people in a school and/or community context. The successful candidate will have good communication skills and be able to work in a team and with other organisations.
It is also an Occupational Requirement (Equality Act – part 1, schedule 9), that the post holder is male and a committed Christian. PVG Scheme Disclosure and Full Driving Licence are required.

LARCH is a new union, formed from the previous congregations of Leith St Andrew’s, Pilrig St Paul’s and Restalrig St Margaret’s. The congregation puts a high value on reaching out to young people in our community and finding new and innovative forms of worship and ministry relevant to 21st century life. We are looking for a new Children, Youth and Family worker to join us in helping to deliver these objectives, building on foundations established in the previous congregations.
The successful candidate will have significant recent experience in working with children and youth and their extended families with the ability to identify, plan and implement relevant activities. The candidate must be a committed Christian with an active Church connection (Genuine Occupational Requirement in terms of the Equality Act 2010).
