We are looking for a Site Engineer to join our Infrastructure team located in Newark. You will deliver the survey works required on the A46 Newark Project, and work with the team to prepare for the start of construction.
What you'll do:
* Exciting opportunity to join our team delivering a complex infrastructure project.
* Work on a large variety of structures, roadworks, and environmental challenges.
* Assist with the remaining investigation works and archaeology works, supervise the works of specialist subcontractors on site, prepare permits, deliver site briefings, and ensure that works are carried out safely.
* Collaborate with the Skanska team and Subcontractors, maintain high Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards, raise requisitions for plant and materials, and keep a detailed site diary.
* Contribute to the planning and preparation of the investigation and archaeology works, and be involved in the site setup as the main project works approach.
* Work some night shifts, including Saturday nights for railway works, and will be paid overtime for these works.
What you'll bring to the role:
* Working towards a professional qualification (IEng, CEng).
* A desire to learn, work collaboratively, and uphold Skanska’s values.
* Previous experience working in construction.
* A degree level qualification in Civil Engineering, or HND in Civil Engineering and vocational training in Engineering.
* Formal training in Health, Safety and Environmental management (SMSTS or SSSTS).
