We have an exciting opportunity for a Youth Volunteering Coordinator on fixed term contract for up to 12 months. About the Role Jewish Care is seeking a passionate and proactive Youth Volunteering Coordinator to inspire and engage young people in meaningful volunteering opportunities. This role will be responsible for developing and delivering youth volunteering programmes, fostering relationships with schools and community groups, and supporting young people on their volunteering journeys. The successful candidate will organise work experience placements, and create intergenerational initiatives that connect young volunteers with older members of the community. they will also be expected to support when needed MIKE leadership events and trips. This post is fixed term for up to 12 months initially, working Monday to Friday and full time. Key Responsibilities Volunteer Engagement & Recruitment – Attract, onboard, and train young volunteers, ensuring a positive experience. Work Experience Programme – Lead on recruiting and placing students in structured work experience opportunities. Community & School Partnerships – Build relationships with schools, synagogues, and community groups to promote youth engagement. Intergenerational Projects – Coordinate initiatives bringing young people into Jewish Care centres and homes. Events & Public Speaking – Represent Jewish Care at career fairs, school workshops, and youth events. Safeguarding & Wellbeing – Ensure all young volunteers are supported, safe, and thriving in their roles. About You Experience in youth work, volunteering, education, or community engagement Strong relationship-building skills with young people, schools, and community partners Excellent organisation, communication, and public speaking skills Ability to develop and manage youth programmes, projects, and events Knowledge of safeguarding and best practices in youth engagement (training provided) Passionate about social impact and Jewish Care’s mission Why Join Us?
