Our Physiotherapy team at Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital currently have an opportunity for a Bank Inpatient Physiotherapist to join our team. As part of the team, you will have clinical support available from our Senior Physiotherapists, your Physiotherapy Manager and Senior Nursing colleagues. As a Bank Inpatient Physiotherapist you will be responsible for providing high quality rehabilitation for a variety of post-operative elective orthopaedic and pelvic health in line with evidence-based treatment protocols.
You will work within a multidisciplinary team including nurses, resident medical officer and consultants with a remit of optimising the health and recovery of our post-operative patients. Previous substantive experience working in a primarily orthopaedic ward environment is essential.
You will join a team passionate about improving patient experience, a drive for quality improvement and with a strong organizational governance framework. You will have a strong voice and to support your development you will have access to our Learn Online platform and in-house CPD program.
As a Bank Inpatient Physiotherapist, you will:
* Deliver high quality, effective, and clinically reasoned care to meet our patient’s needs.
* Adhere to our values and beliefs where we encourage behaviour, which is connected, aspirational, responsive and ethical.
* Be compliant with all professional, clinical and integrated governance standards and participate in clinical audit and other quality assurance processes.
* Be able to work regular weekend shifts.
To succeed as a Bank Inpatient Physiotherapist you will:
* Have a BSc (or equivalent) in Physiotherapy and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
* Evidence of experience in orthopaedic inpatients.
* Demonstrate evidence of further professional training and continual professional development, reflecting your desire to develop as a practitioner.
* Be a confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with the general public and other healthcare professionals.
* Be a competent and confident IT user.
* Have the ability to prioritise and deal with a varied workload in an effective and timely manner.
