An exciting global account management organisation is looking to recruit a Treasury Accountant to join their team at either of their offices in Manchester or Liverpool on either a full-time or part-time basis. Originating from the USA, the organisation's main service is financial recovery services for personal and estate situations. It is a well-established, highly respected organisation with dealings in Europe, North America, and Oceania. The organisation is now looking to bring in a Treasury Accountant for maternity cover on a fourteen-month contract.
Your new role
Joining the team as a Treasury Accountant, you will report to the Finance Director and support peer accountants. Your responsibilities will include preparing comprehensive cash flow projections for senior management, overseeing and managing group cash balances, investigating and implementing new cash flow forecasting systems, conducting group tax planning, and acting as the principal contact for all cash accounting enquiries.
Key Accountabilities
1. Generate weekly cash flow projections, collaborating with Management Accounting to analyse key inflows and outflows.
2. Enhance and maintain cash flow models.
3. Oversee daily bank account balances, ensuring adequate funding across all entities.
4. Collaborate on Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements for budgets and forecasts.
5. Create advanced weekly reports for senior management and the Board.
6. Prepare monthly cash reports.
7. Assist in optimising cash surplus utilisation and reducing debt costs.
8. Investigate and integrate a new cash flow forecasting system.
9. Formulate tax planning strategies.
10. Develop medium to long-term cash planning processes.
11. Construct scenario planning models for group cash management.
12. Achieve management's goals and objectives.
13. Undertake ad hoc projects.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Either completed or pursuing a professional qualification (ACCA or CIMA) or equivalent.
2. Over three years of experience in senior finance roles such as Management Accountant or Cash Management Accountant.
3. Comprehensive understanding of prevalent concepts, practices, and procedures within the financial industry.
4. Strong motivation to enhance and broaden role-specific knowledge.
5. Experience in cash planning and tax strategy development.
6. Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and financial statement software (preferably Oracle NetSuite).
7. Collaborative team player with a proactive, positive attitude.
8. Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
