Operations Executive
We are looking for an Operations Executive to join our Product and Operations Team based in our office in Market Harborough.
Working Hours
Full-time permanent role working 37.5 hours per week, 09:00 am - 17:15 pm, Monday to Friday, with a 45-minute lunch break.
Purpose of the role:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring all aspects of the holiday logistics are organised seamlessly and all suppliers deliver to the required standard to deliver a holiday of a lifetime every time.
You will:
* Complete all general tasks associated with managing the operation of our escorted tours.
* Compile operating reports for local suppliers, including flight times for agents and transfer companies, ensuring the best possible arrival experience for customers.
* Manage overseas airport service costs, ensuring higher costs are escalated.
* Complete final pre-tour departure checks on all aspects of the holiday, confirming all tour elements (e.g., Rail, excursions, guides, coaches & booking entrances).
* Monitor the quality of ground arrangements and take necessary actions to improve/change to deliver excellence.
* Manage operation of optional excursions by reviewing minimum numbers and liaising with Ground agents/Tour Managers.
* Produce and maintain Tour Manager notes to enable Tour Managers to deliver a G Touring itinerary.
* Ensure Tour Manager advances are correct at the beginning of the season and manage for individual tour dates.
* Carry out general operational administration tasks.
* Resolve day-to-day operational queries from suppliers and Tour Managers.
* Assist in resolving pre-tour operational escalations.
* Ensure all tour delivery issues are fed back to the Product team, recommending improvements.
* Play a key role in any crisis management scenarios.
* Be a part of the Emergency support roster.
To be successful you will be:
* Demonstrating at least 12 months travel industry experience or experience in a logistics/operational/service delivery role.
* Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Computer literate in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Organised and enjoy working with fine detail.
* Have a good knowledge of world geography and enjoy research.
* Able to build effective relationships with suppliers.
* Able to work under pressure and prioritise workload.
* Able to remain calm in a crisis, think on your feet, and be solution-oriented.
* Willing and able to travel overseas in the event of a serious emergency.
* Problem-solving and providing creative solutions.
