KEY OUTCOMES: Service Delivery To carry out all aspects of cleaning duties as and when specified and in accordance with the housekeeping cleaning schedules. To maintain a high standard of cleanliness within all areas ensuring infection control measures are adhered to. To assist with in-house laundering and ironing of bedding and patient clothing. Replenishing disposables, e.g paper towels, toilet rolls ect, To ensure the safe removal and storage of clinical and general waste. To ensure safe use and storage of chemicals. To ensure the safe use of any mechanical cleaning equipment. To respond to ad hoc requests from all members of staff when unscheduled housekeeping problems arise. To order and maintain supplies as part of the housekeeping team. To direct housekeeping volunteers with whom you might work with. To always work in a safe manner as not to cause harm to oneself or others. Customer Care Help to ensure that all customers are satisfied with our service by being friendly and helpful at all times Provide a prompt and effective response to customer enquiries and complaints ensuring the Facilities Manager is informed. Business Development To assist with the development of the service through positive participation in any new ideas and also putting forward your own ideas for improving and developing the service Team Development To act as a positive role model providing direction and guidance to staff and volunteers to ensure the service is delivered to the highest standard Work co-operatively with other members of the housekeeping team, contributing to effective team working and a good team spirit and similarly across all departments.
