Job Description: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing essential support to students with SEN within our secondary or primary school setting. Your main responsibilities will include:
* Assisting students with learning tasks, ensuring they have full access to the curriculum and educational resources.
* Providing one-on-one support to students with specific learning needs, helping them overcome challenges and achieve academic progress.
* Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and create a personalised learning experience for each student.
* Supporting students in developing social and emotional skills, fostering positive relationships within the school community.
* Helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.
* Encouraging and promoting independence and self-confidence among students with SEN.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with students with SEN is advantageous but not essential.
* A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to supporting young learners with diverse needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, teachers, and parents effectively.
* The ability to adapt and be flexible in responding to the individual needs of students.
* A passion for fostering the academic and personal development of students with SEN.
