Experienced Speech Pathologists VMCH has an excellent opportunity for you to join a team of highly skilled and like-minded professionals who are passionate about enabling people to reach their full potential. This full-time position based in Kew in ECIS program providing services to children and their families 0-12 years of age.
This is a wonderful opportunity for a skilled Speech Pathologist with 2+ years’ experience in paediatric Speech Pathology to expand their career within the Allied Health space. Join our team of OT’s, Music Therapists and Psychologists that make this a great place to work!
About you
As a VMCH Speech Pathologist, you will
1. Join our early childhood intervention service and work as part of a trans-disciplinary team to deliver high quality services to families and children aged 0-12 years.
2. Provide key worker support to families and children including deliver a broad range of evidence informed intervention strategies, standardised assessments and parent training to increase communication and active participation in social and educational settings for children;
3. undertake face to face consultation and relationship building in natural environments, schools and kindergartens as well as on-site at VMCH facilities and therapy spaces;
4. liaise and collaborate with a transdisciplinary team to design and deliver comprehensive support plans; and

Skills & experience
5. A relevant qualification in Speech Pathology and relevant registration with Speech Pathology Australia
6. Experience and or willingness to learn in speech pathology assessment and service delivery
7. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
8. Ability to provide effective consultative skills that facilitate change through use of reflective and strength-based practice
9. Ability to coach other trans disciplinary team members in areas of expertise
10. A current Working with Children Check, NDIS Screening Clearance and full drivers licence.
