We have an exciting opportunity for an Area Sales Manager covering the North for one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis. Our client is a large, growing and reputable manufacturer and supplier of construction equipment on a national and international scale. They are looking for someone to cover the North of England including Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield.
Responsibilities of the Area Sales Manager
Generate leads.
Build new relationships and network with new and existing clients.
Identify new business opportunities.
Prepare and follow up quotations.
Develop and execute the sales strategy.
Attend trade and consumer shows.
Update clients on machine prospects giving probability and timing of each prospect.
Competitor research and analysis.
Extensive travel in the UK and overseas as required.
Requirements for a successful Area Sales Manager
Previous Sales Management experience in a similar industry.
Target driven with a passion for sales.
Proven Sales skills with an entrepereneurial drive.
Thorough understanding of the industrial and construction markets.
Outstanding communication skills with ability to build a rapport with people of all levels.
Computer literate.
Commercially astute.
Full driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK.
