Job Summary
We areseeking a Downstream Assets Manager to join the Fuels AffiliatesAffairs Department (FAAD). FAAD serves as the designatedshareholder representative of This Companys equity interest indomestic and international affiliates. The departments mission isto manage This Companys portfolio investments to maximize value andachieve profitable sustainable performance.
FAADachieves this through aligning affiliate and corporate strategiesunlocking synergies within the portfolio and providing technicalengineering and human resource support. Additionally FAAD overseesThis Company management and liaises with joint venture (JV)partners on matters including corporate governance governmentregulations venture strategy contract management and performanceupdates to executive management and affiliate boardmembers.
Your primary role as the DownstreamAssets Manager will be to act as the main point of contact betweenThis Company and JV partners. You will oversee the financialperformance of the JV issue periodic reports to management andmonitor corporate governance to ensure alignment with strategicgoals and regulatory requirements.
KeyResponsibilities:
* Brief the Companys Directors for Board meetings and keydecisions and prepare support materials as needed.
* Oversee or conduct analysis on joint ventures (JVs)prepare materials for internal approvals (e.g. capital investments)and manage review and alignment processes.
* Assist JVs in accessing resources and services (e.g.skills data tools best practices relationships) inside thecompany.
* Monitor manage or coordinateinformation requests audits site visits and communications betweenThis Company and JVs.
* Understand allinterfaces (e.g. services support agreements) between the companyand JVs and intervene where necessary to ensure value creation andmaintain support.
* Manage ongoing operationaland financial performance reporting including internalmetrics/tracking and investorlevel reporting.
* Help develop the companys strategy and business plan forJVs.
* Develop and drive the implementation of acoordinated influencing plan in line with the companys approvedstrategy and business plan.
* Proactivelyidentify opportunities for performance improvement or synergycapture develop associated business cases and negotiate withJVs/partners to adopt.
* Develop and annuallyupdate JVs risk registries including separate company and JVrisks.
Requirements:
* Willingness to relocate toDhahran Saudi Arabia.
* Hold aBachelors degree in Chemical Engineering Mechanical Engineering orSystem Engineering.
* 7 years relevantexperience.
* Thorough knowledge of engineeringpractices and US codes standards and specifications.
* Highlevel understanding of technical and operationalissues in refining and/or petrochemical facilities; indepthtechnical knowledge is a plus.
* Demonstrate agood understanding of planning economics and financial controls(related to OPEX CAPEX investment decisions NPV calculationbusiness case development etc.).
* Understandingof Saudi social political regulatory and economic contextespecially related to Downstream.
* Ability toshape strategic objectives in a JV and those of partner(s) andutilize best practices for managing partnerships.
