Job Description
Evaluation of Ultra-Wide Band GNSS Signals (Internship)
Description
The recent development of GNSS systems has led to the opportunity to use signals that have very large frequency occupation. Such signals provide better GNSS measurement quality due to their better resistance to disturbances like multipath and interference. However, they also generally require more resources, which creates a challenge for resource-constrained platforms.
The objective of this internship is to investigate the possible use of very wide band GNSS signals. The successful candidate will participate in the evaluation of processing techniques for such signals and contribute to the analysis of the trade-offs between resource costs and measurement quality for different platform types.
The internship is expected to last 3 months.
Steps
1. Review of wide and very-wide band GNSS signals and state-of-the-art processing techniques
2. Development of a simulation platform
3. Implementation of selected processing techniques
4. Performance and cost-benefit analysis
5. Documentation
Required Skills
* Student with a bachelor's degree or studying for a Master's degree in electronic or telecommunications engineering, or similar
* Background in signal processing
* Previous experience of using MATLAB
* Analytical problem-solving skills
* Self-motivated and able to work independently but within a global team
* Understanding of GNSS technology is a benefit
* Experience and/or interest in navigation systems is a ‘plus’
What are your perks?
* A multicultural and international company with over 60 different nationalities
* Project-based activities working with colleagues across the globe
* A start-up and innovation mindset while in the process of scaling up processes and efficiencies
* Hybrid working model & flexible working hours
* A strong learning environment and regular career discussions
